Most staffing firms rush to fill seats. We built Discovery IT Group around the opposite belief — that understanding environments always produces better hires than moving fast. Here's why that matters.

"I built Discovery IT Group because I got tired of watching companies make the same bad hire over and over — and watching staffing firms get paid for it anyway."
After 15 years in technical recruiting, I kept seeing the same pattern. A company has a critical role. They go to a staffing firm. The firm sends resumes within 48 hours. The company interviews, picks someone, and six months later the hire is gone. Then the whole thing starts over.
The problem wasn't the talent. The problem was that nobody took the time to understand the environment before recruiting into it. Culture, team dynamics, technical context, what success actually looks like in that specific organization — none of it was part of the process.
So we built a firm around the opposite approach. We start with a discovery call — not a job order. We learn the environment before we recruit. We send 3 to 5 candidates who are genuinely right for the role, not 30 resumes to cover our bases. And we stay engaged after placement to make sure the hire is working.
That's it. It's not complicated. It's just what great staffing looks like — and it's what we do every time, in every sector, in every country we operate in.
Start a ConversationWe understand modern engineering organizations — agile teams, distributed systems, regulated environments. We speak the language, which means better screening and faster placements that stick.
Critical infrastructure staffing requires understanding uptime requirements, DCIM standards, commissioning processes, and the physical-digital skillset these environments demand. We do.
From resource development to O&M, we understand the full project lifecycle — development timelines, interconnection complexity, and the specific technical expertise each phase requires.
Across all three sectors, in all 20+ countries we operate — we stay engaged after placement. A great hire should be measured at month twelve, not day one.
"We'd worked with three other firms before Discovery IT Group. None of them took the time to understand our environment. The first candidates they sent were genuinely prepared — not just technically, but for our specific team culture."
"Commissioning a hyperscale facility requires people who've actually done it before. Discovery IT Group found us candidates with the exact tier experience we needed — not engineers who'd read about it."
"The solar industry doesn't forgive late hires. Discovery IT Group had our EPC team in place before groundbreaking — and checked in six months later to make sure it was working. That follow-up is rare."
"Other staffing firms filled seats. Discovery IT Group filled the role — and checked in three months later to make sure the hire was actually working. Fundamentally different service."
"We lost three critical engineers in 60 days. Discovery had replacements onboarding in under three weeks — and all three are still with us 14 months later. That's retention, not just headcount."
"Our BESS project had a platform-specific requirement that stumped every other recruiter. Discovery understood what we needed and found exactly the right people. COD was on schedule."
